BBRL Season 3: The Field Is Wide Open
BotBrawl returns to Burlington Community Robotis for our 3rd season of BotBrawl Robot League!
Season 2 belonged to three robots: Ralph went 10–0 in sumo, Just Add Water went 5–0 in the ants and NV went 6–0 in the beetles.
None of them are entered for Season 3, meaning all three weight classes will crown a new BBRL champion when the BotBrawl Robot League returns on Friday, September 18.
Antweights: Siren Enters the League
Siren arrives as the top-ranked antweight in Canada after going 6–0 in its BotBrawl debut at Anime North. That run included wins over Smirking Cat Sawbot, JAK1 and upcoming Season 3 opponent Generic Spinner 90210.
The strongest returning league campaign belongs to Hoju, which finished second in Season 2 at 7–2. Reginald McGravity went 5–3, while Generic Spinner’s chaotic 5–7 record included five knockouts and a win over Hoju at the Grand Finals.
They are part of a 13-robot field that also includes Sheer Cold, Royal Reaper, Boom Box and seven robots entering the season at 1000 ELO.
Beetleweight: A New Front of the Field
Anubis enters on a five-fight winning streak and ranked second nationally. That run includes a victory over NV and two over fellow Season 3 entrant Tranquility at Anime North.
Shrubert is coming off one of the best performances of the Summer Classic. After losing to NV, the Robotanists’ suplexer won five consecutive fights through the losers bracket and finished third.

Charity Case is the only returning Season 2 beetleweight. It went 3–4 during the regular season, then reversed two earlier losses to beat Cyclone at the Grand Finals. Dirty Diapers completes the five-robot field.
Sumo: No Ralph This Time
Ralph dominated Season 2, going 10–0 before beating Homer again at the Summer Classic.

With Ralph absent, the division falls to the two robots that chased it all summer. Cones of Dunshire finished Season 2 at 11–4 and 1190 ELO; Homer went 10–3 and sits just behind at 1179.
Bort – The 3rd Coming, The Heelers, Thing 1 & Thing 2 and Baguette III complete the field.
BBRL Season 3 begins Friday, September 18, at Burlington Community Robotics and continues every Friday through October 16. Doors open at 7 PM, fights begin at 7:30, and spectator admission is $5 at the door.
