suMO dIVISION

Rules for the sumo division are fairly straight forward. Robots may not weight more then 30lb and 150lb depending on the class. Robots may utilize low power weaponry such as lifting arms or grabbing mechanisms to best their opponents. Sumo bots fight in an open air arena so weapons too dangerous or powerful are not permitted. If you have questions about your design please email info@botbrawl.ca for clarification.  Sumo robots must use approved radio/control systems and include power disconnects, kill switches, weapon locks and safety covers for sharp edges.

The event organizer can choose to disqualify any robot deemed to dangerous to compete, sound engineering is always encouraged. Robots are inspected at the event before being allowed to fight, if a robot fails inspection there are no refunds on registration fee.
